The reserve was created not for tourists, but for scientists. The whole area is closed. Galich Mountain itself is not shown. An interesting nursery for wild birds and that's basically it. There is still a museum of nature, like a biology room with stuffed animals and insects, a collection of stones. So we didn't see the unique nature there. Souvenirs with birds were bought for the children. At the stand I saw a quote from the scientist who created this reserve, Khitrovo, that if this piece of pristine nature is not protected, then children will be able to see it only in pictures. Now they are protecting. The only question is, isn't it from children? After all, children do not see in the pictures what kind of nature is there ...

A good place. A small area with birds in enclosures and without, as well as a nature museum, small and informative. Be sure to book a tour, without it you will see everything very quickly, there are no information stands. After the museum, you can go down to the Don, swim and relax.

Unique geographic location - you do not expect to see nature and landscapes in the Black Earth region, similar to alpine meadows. And if you consider that the local museum has interesting finds from the time of Devon, I advise everyone to find time to visit the reserve
