Музей-крепость "Корела"

Extremely interesting place. Not many people know that the place for this fortress was not chosen by chance. In the Middle Ages, the Vuoksa River did not flow as it does now, it connected the Baltic Sea with Lake Ladoga. There was also no duct in Losevo. The main channel passed through Priozersk in the east and Vyborg in the west. Here passed the famous trade route "From Varangians to Greeks". Korela Fortress covered the exit to Lake Ladoga.

Realising the whole history side it's quite nice but couldn't be compared to medical Europe towns.

Small. Nice location. No Finnish or English texts in Museum itself... ☹️

Cool part of history, under two dollars per entry ticket. Not too crowded.
