The church was first mentioned in 1646 as the “state structure,” but it was probably built during the restoration of Old Ladoga after the events of the time of troubles. During its history, the church has been rebuilt several times, but according to its original appearance, it is said. The last stone-based construction was completed in 1901. The first mention of the church of St. Dmitry Solunsky belong to 1646. In 1731, on the site of an older one, a new one was cut down, repeating its predecessor in its forms. In 1901, another church was erected in the same place, setting it on a stone foundation. Outwardly, it resembles a peasant hut. The crate of the church itself under the gable roof stands out for its increased volume and the onion-head, incised into the ridge. In the east, adjacent to it is a five-sided reduced volume of the apse, from the west - the refectory with the canopy under the common roof.
