His Majesty Ratnaya Palata (War Chamber), built in 1913-1917 by Architect Semen Sidorchuk (1882-1932)in Pseudo-Russian style. Since 1914 this building housed first Museum of the Great War. Museum was closed by Bolsheviks in 1918. It was re-opened in August 2014 on the Hundred Years Anniversary of WW I. Since my Grand Dad, two Great Grand Dads and their brothers took part in that war I like to visit this place. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light and tripod. Highly recommended for yours visit.

Nice quiet museum. Don't recall if English translation is present there.

Nicely restored externally .. Small parking lot at the entrance. There are excursions of 300 rubles / person, in groups of 7 people, they did not wait until the required number of people was typed, so they did not go on the tour.

A very interesting museum! Be sure to go! This is the only museum dedicated to the First World War in Russia! Even the building itself has an interesting history; it was built in 1917 by order of Nicholas II and was planned as a museum. In Soviet times, it was practically abandoned, and after the Second War it suffered greatly. But in the 21st century, they began to restore and in 2014 the museum opened its doors to visitors again. A museum dedicated to the First World War has opened here. There are many interesting, authentic exhibits on display here. You can also donate them to a museum. After going through the entire museum in order, you can find yourself in the atmosphere of the early 1900s.

I love this place. The best museum I've ever visited. And the only museum where I returned for the second time. Very interesting exposition, good people. Thank you very much!)
