Initially, in 1838, a temple was laid on this site for the Life Guards of the Volynsky Regiment. A marching regimental iconostasis was installed in the temple. In 1856 the Life Guards Volyn Regiment was transferred to Warsaw. In subsequent years, the church was transferred to various military units. In 1882, the famous Officer Rifle School was formed in which the church was located. Over the past years, the old church became dilapidated and there was a need to build a new, more spacious church; . In 1930, the church was closed and beheaded. Since then, it has been possible to visit both the warehouse, and the house of the pioneers, and the city gymnasium. But for the entire Soviet period, the building has never been repaired. Returned to the church in 2002 in disrepair. The complete reconstruction of the temple, which began in 2008, has been relatively recently completed.
