The territory of the monastery and all buildings are in excellent condition. Everything is clean and tidy, paved paths, brand new benches, beautiful landscape. Spacious refectory. Hotel for pilgrims. The monks sing beautifully. The impressions of the monastery were twofold. On the one hand, there is a revival of the monastery and there is an interest of pilgrims to this holy place. Which of course pleases. On the other hand, the fact that Rosneft "rules" everyone on the island is not too happy. I would not want this ancient sacred place to turn into another business project to make a profit ... I will separately say about the peninsula itself. He is beautiful. Virgin nature, magnificent coniferous forest, crystal clear air, silence, light chirping of birds. In general, a fairy tale. However, for this fairy tale to come true, you should come here only in the summer and, preparing for the trip, carefully monitor the weather forecasts. It often storms on Ladoga, it can be very windy and cold. During a storm, ships do not run, and a walk around the island will not be pleasant either.

Double impressions - on the one hand, the island and the monastery have a long and rich history, on the other hand, restoration is underway at the moment, everything looks neat, clean, but it is clear that the remake, alas, is not in the best sense of the word ... what will happen at the end of the work. But the territory is ennobled, there is a beautiful landscape, there are places for recreation, the paths are paved, it is convenient to walk on them.

Very ambiguous feelings remained after the visit - the island is now undergoing reconstruction, on the one hand it is wonderful, on the other hand, the monastery is being turned into an attraction. Why build a helipad and a huge marina on an island with a monastery 🤨🤨🤨
