A historic place, necessary to visit as part of the walk from Lenin Square towards Aurora or vice versa. Beautiful viewpoint on the city or Smolnyj sobor ❤

Enjoyed the walk across but the shot at night when it lifts up is the money shot. I asked the locals what time the bridges are going up each night. It becomes a sort of viewing party as all of the vessels pass through the river all at once.

Relatively nice view. Traffic is terrible though, as well as the surroundings. Not recommended for walking.
