As well as the Birzhevoy Bridge across the Malaya Neva, it connects Vasilievsky and Petrogradsky Islands. Almost identical to the Exchange Bridge. There is nothing to say, there is a pedestrian crossing, an excellent view of St. Petersburg and its beauty, you can take many beautiful photos, there is an option for a boat trip.

The first, naturally wooden bridge in this place appeared in 1758. Tuchkov was named in honor of the owner of the warehouses, on whose funds he was erected. At the moment, this is a drawbridge, three-span bridge. The metal structure is finished with marble and granite.

The Tuchkov Bridge, a drawbridge across the Malaya Neva in St. Petersburg, connects the Vasilyevsky and Petrogradsky Islands. In 1833-1835, the floating bridge was replaced by a multi-span wooden bridge with a beam-strut system on wooden pile supports with a double-wing adjustable span in the middle. The bridge was built in the alignment of Bolshoi Prospect of the Petersburg side with the construction of an earthen dam from the Malaya Neva River to the future Alexandrovsky Prospect (now Dobrolyubova Ave.). The adjustable span consisted of four wooden frames and was bred using hand winches. The roadway of the bridge was wooden, made up of crossbars and double plank flooring. The railings of the bridge were equipped with a railing of cast iron gratings of artistic casting with rectangular pedestals.
