Bazilika Svyatoy Yekateriny Aleksandriyskoy

The most boring Church ever. It’s very odd that this church has so many five star reviews, especially considering the fact that most Russian churches are full of interesting details and have great architecture. I would only come to this church to rest for a bit.

An experience that you can say you have attended Mass in the oldest Catholic church in the Russian Federation. Very simple interior as compared to the Orthodox Cathedrals around it (which are very beautiful of course). Very solemn inside and they have a lot of Masses available esp for the Sunday services. Location is great too as it is along Nevsky Prospekt.

It's wonderful place

Bazilika being the closest sight you could visit from the center or the city is still very beautiful place even for agnostics. You could enjoy architecture of this and see some figures with characters from Bible. I recommend you to go there

A very beautiful parish that is in constant renovation (which is actually greatly needed), due to the neglect that it was forced to endure during the soviet times. If you want a peaceful, cozy place to pray and rest, you should then head to this church. You won't be disappointed!
