Lovely restaurant with live piano music until 7pm. Quite expensive menu, but completely non-pathos and cozy atmosphere) original author's desserts and cocktails) Hot chocolate with rum is my favorite)) 😁

Great place for fancy tea / coffee and a snack. Pavlov's dessert is the best!

Afternoon tea. Perhaps the most beautiful and cozy tea in the city is served here. We took two types of High tea, Russian and English. The difference is that the first one with pancakes, and the second one with scones, which is why I like Afternoon tea a lot. So there is trouble with the scones in Astoria. These are dry biscuit buns with a pronounced baking powder flavor. I couldn't eat them, I returned them to the kitchen. The hotel manager, who later came to ask what was wrong, agreed with us that these were not scones, but sheer disappointment. However, the pastry chef thinks otherwise and other guests are not particularly outraged, so they remain on the menu in such an unsightly way. But unlike other places in the city, where there is Afternoon tea, in Astoria they are served not with sour cream, but still with cream and raspberry sauce. In addition to pancakes, scones and tea itself, the set includes mini-sandwiches with cucumber and red fish, apple pies and a huge amount of sweets. At this hotel, High tea is served as a buffet: all but scones, in unlimited quantities. I have not seen such a selection of desserts in any tea ceremony: there is cheesecake, charlotte, Opera cake, nuts with condensed milk and Nutella, chocolate mousse, and the famous Florentine cookies (it is considered that the best in the city, and I tend to agree) and much more. Tea is poured without restrictions. We took Darjeeling, Earl Gray and Lapsang Souchong. In general, the impressions are pleasant, but the choice of sandwiches is already very modest and they themselves are of average merits and, of course, the quality of the scones is depressing. I recommend this place if you just want to sit in a beautiful interior and drink tea with unlimited sweets.
