If you are looking for a beautiful decor with statues and paintings and icons and stained glass windows, this is not a place for you. If you need an example of what the churches were turned into in Soviet times, this is probably one of the best examples left. The main hall was turned into a gym and the floor is still wears the signs of marked volleyball/basketball court. Regardless the church is active, with numeros protestant churches holding their services at various times in different halls, so, please, be respectful when you come in. Historically this is the Swidish church and you can find historical references to its history on boards in the entrance area.

The building was built in 1885. As it was built by and for Swedish expatriates in Saint Petersburg, it is usually called the Swedish church. The church is made of stone and the facade and architecture are beautiful, although it needs maintenance.

The church I go to. God is, and He is among those who believe in Him. Here you can feel His presence and see His glory. Feel for yourself the miracles that are spoken of in the Holy Scriptures, and make sure of the truth of the Christian teaching🙏
