I really like in the church of St. Nicholas near the BMA. There are kind priests who are really responsive to someone else’s pain and problems. And good parishioners. They are always cordially glad to us. Such a warm attitude ... The main icon of the temple appeared there in an amazing way. For three consecutive nights, one woman had a dream where she was told to take the icon in her closet to the temple on Lebedev Street. She even looked in her closet, but there was nothing there. What doesn’t dream in a dream ... but then her friend came to her, who, too, for three nights, I had the same dream, which said to take the icon with her friend to the temple on Lebedev Street. Both knew nothing about the icon. We carefully looked at the cabinet, found a cache behind it, and in it is a huge icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. So, when Father Alexander (he died in 2014) began to rebuild the temple, an icon appeared there. These are all relatively recent events, you and I were already born at that time and even went to school, as far as I know :)) Still here in Soviet times, the head of the anatomy department hid the imperishable body of the saint, covering him for checks with just the number of one of the exhibits of the department. .. else the relics would be destroyed. And so, the smartest doctors at the Military Medical Academy consciously participated in the preservation of the shrines, in spite of any prevailing scientific atheism, caused rather by insufficient knowledge. Considering, for example, the fact that the most competent people of that time were believers, for example, the Nobel laureate Pavlov, who discovered conditioned reflexes and at the same time was the old headman from the parish of the Znamenskaya Church, on the site of which is now the metro station Uprising. This temple is a holy place!

I probably didn’t call it a temple. I think it’s more of a chapel, but it’s very cozy, so friendly During the service, you can take the text according to which the service is performed and sing along with the singers. But I didn’t understand half the words by ear, far from the church, I just watched and muttered under my nose more or less the words that I made out. And here you can take the text and read, listen and sing along. It’s even more important, there are two benches where you can sit if it’s hard to defend the whole service, as well as hangers where you can take off your outer clothing so as not to steam. I would also like to mention the work of local workers: in a candle shop I explained in more detail how one prayer differs from another. During the service, those who came after the start of the service are completely filled, they may be embarrassed to come and go, and I noticed that one of the priests went for he invited them to the temple, and they returned. And one couple came in and probably just wanted to put candles, but the services were embarrassed, but again they were shown that they could go and they went and put candles. In a word: the brightest, kindest, most responsive, friendly chapel
