A very interesting museum! A large number of unique exhibits that are still in operation: various devices, film projectors, typewriters ... We learned a lot about the glorious history of the Polytechnic University, about scientific developments in which the polytechnics took part. I liked the exhibition in the Main Building, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory: it reveals the history of students and teachers of the Polytechnic University, who had a difficult test - the war. I definitely recommend visiting the Polytech Museum!

A very large collection of devices and equipment for the entire 20th century, some of which are fully operational.

For me, the Polytechnic - its spirit, ancient buildings and the park - is a memory of my dear and beloved loved ones. That is why, on the very first day of our arrival in St. Petersburg this summer, my wife and I visited the university and its Museum of History and Technology, which is in the 2nd professorial building, which we met in advance virtually at home in Minsk. However, reality exceeded all our expectations! We were kindly and cordially received at the museum: its research assistant, candidate of philosophical sciences Vladimir Viktorovich Kuznetsov, conducted an interesting, informative and very emotional tour. A magnificent storyteller, he fell even more in love with the history of the university, whose fame was created by generations of polytechnics. They taught, were engaged in science, became organizers of production, their achievements determined the formation and development of domestic science and technology. Numerous museum materials testify to them and the Polytechnic at all stages of its activity. We saw rare photographs of polytechnics of different years, old and not very pictures of classrooms, residential and utility rooms, as well as documents reflecting the events associated with the opening of the university, the beginning of training sessions, samples of laboratory equipment and devices, furniture and much more. My wife and I are university teachers, and we were pleased that all this is available to students of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, whose study programs include planned excursions to the museum. We are sure: it is very important! We sincerely thank the museum staff for the opportunity to fully experience the course of the history and evolution of the Polytechnic. We wish you that your work is always highly valued, respected and adequately rewarded. Good health to you and inexhaustible enthusiasm in your very necessary work! With respect and gratitude, spouses Eliseevs

It’s hard to get there. But it's worth it. Many different ancient instruments for physical experiments. And the atmosphere of something scientific past, the century before last costs a lot. He studied here, but he learned about such a museum a few years later by accident, he just went to his native institute.
