Park named after Babushkin. You can't say so, but the park was founded even under Catherine II. In tsarist times, hunting grounds were located here, then the area began to be built up with industrial enterprises. In particular, on Farforovskaya Street, along which one of the park's borders passes, there was until recently the Vienna brewery (founded in 1872), after which the park was named. However, in 2011 the Baltika company, of which Vienna has long been a part, moved production to Parnassus, and the land was sold for the construction of a residential complex, of course. Now only the main building, recognized by the KGIOP as a monument, a fence and a couple of tablets, remain from the plant. By the way, Babushkina Street was continued here only in the 60s of the 20th century, before that the plant smoothly flowed into the park) Now the park is a small, half-abandoned piece of greenery that can be walked around in 7-10 minutes: cracked asphalt, an abandoned scene of a Soviet-era building. Most of the park is occupied by pub buildings, bathhouses and an amusement park for children. Children, by the way, are probably the only category of citizens who will like it here. The only bonus for me that I didn’t have time to visit because I arrived too late was the Ferris wheel. Since the park is located practically on the embankment, a good view should open from the wheel, which I will check a little later. I completely forgot to tell you about Babushkin. By tradition: this is a fierce revolutionary who worked at the Nevsky plant, hung out in a circle organized by Ilyich, was exiled, then promoted communist ideas through newspapers, various discussions and even organizing an uprising in Chita. But the music did not last long, and in 1906 he was shot. In 1956, a monument to Babushkin was erected in the park, but only a granite pedestal has survived to this day. (2 photos) In general, the best candidate for the name of a huge street and park in St. Petersburg. But until 1940, Babushkina Street was romantically called Cemetery. When using this text, you must indicate the author.

The park is suitable for walks with children, but not for celebrations. There are a lot of people, and 2-3 people work at the entrance. Apparently, the park was created exclusively for residents from nearby houses, and announcements about the holiday were often met. There was no room at all due to the large crowd. In addition to carriages with corn, there are small rides in the park that make rather strange sounds when they work.

All attractions work, there is a free playground. You can have a delicious lunch at the restaurant or have a snack at one of the many eateries. Children like it, there are a lot of them here, joyful. Cozy park, small, cheerful.
