When we were in the first stages of booking our first cruise to the Baltic, I immediately started looking into a local tour agency. We decide to use the help of Anastasia Travel. It started with personal and very friendly communication. They made very nice suggestions and with their help, we were able to create a 2-day tour completely tailored to what we wanted to do. Once we arrived in Russia, we were greeted by a fluently English speaking local, Verena. She informed us that she would be with us for both days, as was the private car. We were very impressed by the knowledge of our guide and she really made the city come to life for us. We managed to see all the sights on our long list. Partly cause we were able to pass some of the long lines. (especially in the Hermitage). Needless to say that St Petersburg was truly amazing. We had a wonderful time thanks to Verena en Anastasia Travel. In the end, we booked several tours in the Baltic with them, like Copenhagen, Berlin and Tallinn. When we go back ( and we will) Anastasia Travel will be the first one we will contact! Thank you again.

We used Anastasia Travel Group for our entire Baltic cruise. Our guide was Victoria and she planned all the tours. She managed to assign to us an excellent English speaking tour guides. We had a wonderful time in each city and they made sure we memorized each place we visited. They are highly professional and attentive to their clients needs. I strongly recommend Anastasia Travel Group as your private tour guide on your Baltic itineraries. Thank you Anastasia Travel!

We booked with Anastasia Travels for 2 days in St. Petersburg on our Baltic cruise. A friend had recommended her to me, and the reviews were great. This was our first trip to St. Petersburg, and we wanted to see everything, but were afraid the pace would be too much. After quite a few emails, we got a terrific two days planned. They took the time to truly listen to us, and to understand what was the most important to us--even if everyone said "you have to see that". We packed a lot in, but for us this would probably be our only trip to that area. When we got to port, our guide and driver were waiting for us at the ship. They had our visas ready for us and all our paperwork taken care of. We had a fabulous driver who did some amazing things over the two days, and our guide could not have been better. One of us was a retired History professor, and with that interest, the guide had excellent knowledge and truly seemed interested in sharing it all. We got to cruise the canals in our own boat too. Our guide knew of some out of the way places to eat, so we could experience the local culture, and not eat with the rest of the tourists. I will add that for lunch I think you should not do a fixed menu, but pay for it yourself so you have choices. The lunch on day one quite good, day two pretty bad. The dinner at the Vodka Museum was a highlight (we did get to order what we wanted there). Somehow our guide managed to set aside some time shopping, which we really enjoyed. With the complications of Russian visa etc. I think it is imperative to hire a company to do your tour. It makes it so much easier, and it is money well spent. The ship options are overpriced, and full of headaches with so many people--we saw them and smiled that we were not among them. There are so many pluses to even list, but the important ones are that they let you tweak your plan, make sure you have enough bathroom breaks, provide wifi in the car if you need it, present the "real" Russia you won't see on ship tours, and even throw in some surprises. I could go on and on, but instead, quit reading this and book it!

We booked with Anastasia Travels for 2 days in St. Petersburg on our Baltic cruise. A friend had recommended her to me, as they had used her on their trip. This was my first trip to St. Petersburg, and of course I wanted to see everything. After quite a few phone calls and emails, we got our dream trip planned. They took the time to truly listen to me, and to understand what I wanted to see, what was the most important to me. We planned a trip that packed so much into those two days, I wasn't sure I'd have time to eat, but somehow, they managed to make time for that too! When we got to port, our guide was waiting for us at the ship. They had our visas ready for us and all our paperwork taken care of. We got to Peterhof, St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Hermitage. We got to cruise the canals. Our guide knew of some out of the way places to eat, so we could experience the local culture, and not eat with the rest of the tourists. Somehow our guide managed to set aside some time for me to do some shopping (which I hadn't even thought about). It was so nice being able to enjoy my trip without having to do any of the work involved in planning it. It really was as easy as a few phone calls and emails. We are planning on heading back to the Baltic region next year, and the first thing I am going to do is call Anastasia's Travel. Then I know I can enjoy my trip!!

Booking with Anastasia Travels for our 1 day in SPB on our Baltic cruise this past summer was the best decision I made for our entire trip! I spent months extensively researching all of the top rated companies for private tours since we only had 1 day in SPB, I wanted to make the most of it and be sure we chose the best. From the initial communication to probably 100 emails later (I’m super obsessive about details and planning and ask tons of questions), Anastasia (specifically Katherine in their office, she is amazing) responded the fastest (always within a day, usually within hours) out of all of the companies, and gave me all of the details and answers I was seeking to plan a perfect private tour. Together we planned a jam packed day that included all of the top sites plus times for sit down meals so we could experience the culture (and have a break from touring), and ending the night with a relaxing canal cruise and vodka tasting- priceless. The itinerary I put together was so awesome, that I was easily able to form a group of 12 in my cruise critic group to join me. It was easy for us to all prepay separately and join up for our tour for a great day. The van was impeccable, the driver perfectly on time and just where we needed him, and our guide was so informative and easy to talk to. He even catered to a last minute request I had that day asking if we could stop for 5 mins (in a VERY tightly packed itinerary we had) at the Hard Rock so I could grab a pin for my collection. The service from Anastasia was seriously the best customer service I have ever experienced, on a trip, and really in anything even non-travel related! From the planning, to the day of, to even post-trip when they worked with me on a custom matryoshka doll order I had placed and the first doll from the shop wasn’t correct, they coordinated the replacement and stayed in contact with me every step of the way until it was made right. This says so much about this company. I loved SPB and was sad to have only gotten 1 day there. I will surely be back and definitely will book with Anastasia again!!
