Izba Russkaya Kukhnya

Real russian place and food as well as great service - the experience would be worth paying three times more for. Games and happy laughter, but still privacy. Locals visit here and the toilets are clean and vodka clear. No complaints on any part. Even great with kids! Superb.

I'm sorry to write this, but this restaurant was the worst of all restaurants in 6 weeks St. Petersburg. The waiter works extremely slow and speaks no English. I had to wait more than 60 minutes until the soup and the main dish were served. The main dish was completely cold and did not taste fine. I just wanted to have lunch, but I had to spend 75 minutes there and I was really disappointed by the kitchen.

Great place to be in a traditional Russian environment with old tools and different accessories that were used last century. The cuisine is remarkably tasty and authentic. The personnel very friendly and the menus proposing typical Russian cuisine. I recommend highly Izba Russkaya if you are looking for Russian cuisine in St Petersburg!

What a wonderful restaurant! It's authentic, affordable and serves delicious Russian food at very reasonable prices. The service was superb, but the staff does not speak good English, unfortunately. Do not let this dissuade you from coming here though. This place is meant to be experienced, especially the decor. Whoever was responsible for interior design did a fantastic job. Try their pelmeni and Napoleon cake both made in house. The value for the money IMHO is strong. You're getting authentic Russian food at very reasonable prices. We had 1 appetizer + 3 mains + 1 dessert + 1 tea pot, all for C$45.
