I had a chance to spend a month and a half here on a kind of business trip. On the positive side: location, view from the window (on the Neva, the bridge, the Lavra). For the rest: the rooms are rather stuffy, if it's hot outside, the room is generally unbearable, because the sun shines for 6-8 hours, curtains (red!) do not help. Outside the window is the eternal noise of the embankment for 6-8 car lanes and the corresponding stench and fumes. Bed linen and towels were changed regularly, but the bed itself was constantly with someone's black hair, and it smelled like stale linen. The mattresses are old, spring-loaded, and the springs naturally bite into the sides. The staff behaves decently, the manager of the hostel (actually the Hotel "Academy") is a very pleasant woman. But the guards seemed to crawl out of the USSR - unfriendly, do not greet in response, answer questions reluctantly, especially the type that constantly sits at the reception. Well, you don't expect anything else from them. They just spoil the already not very image of the institution. There was an incident: at about one in the morning the alarm rang and the evacuation was announced by the warning system, then everything was quiet. I went downstairs to figure it out, and there was a worker running around and saying that everything was fine. I wanted to figure it out, woke up the guards, it turned out that they had some kind of "steam left" there and something like that. In general, idiot employees did not even bother to notify residents that the alarm was false. In general, I do not recommend it. Unless you just came for a couple of days and you need a place to sleep (and that, on old box-spring mattresses ahahah).

Met us hospitably. It was as if they knew us in person. It was nice)))) Double room costs 850 rubles. There is a refrigerator, a closet for things. Bathroom. There is cold / hot drinking water in the lobby. You can also iron things. But there is a minus. The room did not work TV. Left a request. The problem is not solved. Until acquaintances came and helped solve our problem.

The rooms are as in the photo. Among the shortcomings: the room is cool, the windows are thin. There is not even a small cabinet in the room, only a common one in the corridor, where you can not put personal and body clothes. I would like at least a small cabinet with shelves in the room. Well, to be honest, it's dirty. Particularly terrible carpet, all stained, sometimes burnt. Of the pluses: good towels and bedding, the bed itself is comfortable, a cooler with cold and hot water on the floor. The location of the hotel itself is convenient, all within walking distance.

The rooms are clean, the maid works fine, the sheets are snow-white, they change very often. The room has a shower, refrigerator, TV. The girls at the reception are very polite.

In general, there live doctors who come to St. Petersburg to improve their skills. But tourists too, especially in summer. It would be possible to give 3 stars if the rooms had a kettle, hairdryer. On the floor there is a boiler. Dining room that closes a bit early. And so clean, repair is normal. The rooms micro-fridge, TV with analog channels. Room amenities.
