The eastern fountain of square ponds is a wonderful decorative composition of the Upper Garden of the Peterhof Ensemble. The fountain was built in 1720 according to the project of Leblon .. The size of the pool is rectangular 54 x 45 meters, but two fountains are called square ponds. Designed for the accumulation of water supplying the Grand Cascade. Sculptor B.K. Rastrelli, fountain master P.Sualem. Beautiful fountain decoration with marble Apollo sculpture and dolphins.
