Years of study: 2008 - 2014. Faculty: Navigation. Work in the specialty: 2014 - present Advantages of studying: a real opportunity to work in a specialty, an international diploma, a practical absence of "nepotism" in most companies, high income, rapid career growth, a relative opportunity to see the world, ease of learning (you can just cope with diligence - you don't need to be a gifted mathematician or a physicist), a military department, which gives officer shoulder straps without serving in the army. Cons of study: high cost (about 200K per year without taking into account the associated costs and the military department), the knowledge gained is of a general knowledge and for practical use it is morally outdated and not relevant, the duration of training, the need to obtain a large number of certificates to start work (another 150-200K every 5 years), compulsory floating practice as a cadet for a period of a year (two voyages of six months), high competition in the labor market (especially for novice navigators). Important: You study for 5 years not for the sake of a state exam, diploma, or a certificate, but for the sake of 5 minutes at the interview in the crewing that you have chosen. Your English is critical and your grades must be good. Go to a company that at least partly guarantees further employment, and not a high cadet salary. Get a job as early as possible - only there you will learn the profession: every task is like the last, every grain of knowledge is like gold - your reputation will begin to form with a cadet, this is very important. Without good practice, you are completely null and void, and no one needs you. Do the documents upon graduation as quickly as possible: whoever brought all the documents to the company first was hired. Do not hope that HSE will help you find an internship, or a job is a lie: only yourself, and only in advance. Apply for practice and work everywhere (there is crewing in Russia, or not - let a couple of companies offer you a place and you refuse someone, than cling to one, and then they will tell you that there are no places - this is not uncommon) ... Papa-captain, papa-first-mate, papa-aquaman will not help either with practice or with work (even if he thinks and speaks differently), he will be sent with you far and for a long time, do not rely on the connection of parents, do not go to crewing , because there "dad works and there is somehow more reliable", it does not work (I witnessed this many times - make your choice). And finally, in the first years you will hear a lot of clever stories from senior courses, how to study, go to practice, which companies are good and how it is worth living and working in general: do not believe and understand only yourself ... idiots usually say this , which does not shine. Good luck to you)
Only you (11/21/2020)
She studied there when the NGMA was still called. In a word, the Academy. When I was still teaching Krympoha G.A. our favorite teacher. Kingdom of Heaven to her. It was a wonderful academy 15 years have passed. I adore you, my beloved NGMA !!!

A pitiful likeness of a university in which I lost 5 years of my life. Don't even think about going there if you don't plan to swim. Ext. But if you plan, you will have to endure all the jokes and quirks of teachers and, like, the military. Received on budget - congratulations, you cleaners and maintenance staff. Commerce - you pay fabulous money for a diploma that will pay off, but which is clearly not worth it + you still stand in clothes. At the elections, do not boh, you do not come and do not raise the turnout percentage, expect problems. If you don't know who to vote for, you will always be prompted. Write something wrong in the alleged student overheard - wait for an invitation from the "functionaries". There you will be forced to repent, and otherwise you will be offered "tea". For "Overheard" does not exist so that students can stir up business and look for "the very girl who is in ....". And so that junior bosses / "managers" could find out where they are going to make a new hole in the fence. In any case, think about whether you need this higher education if, after graduation, you will still look for work on the shore.
