The Krasnodar Regional Universal Scientific Library named after A. S. Pushkin is the largest public library in Krasnodar. It was created in 1900, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the poet A.S. Pushkin. The first librarian was I. A. Kuznetsov. The initial fund amounted to 2807 volumes. The library was paid. In 1920, the library became free. By 1940, the library stock was 116 thousand copies. During the war, the Germans destroyed over 85 thousand books, newspapers, magazines. The library building was damaged by explosions and fires. In 1956, the library moved to a new building, in which it is currently located.

The library is very good, which I can not say about the staff. Boorish attitude of employees spoils all the positive emotions for this institution.

Pleasant guides (ilm as right) tell with an enviable passion. Such people are called "people of action." More to such! The building itself seems to be dead outside, only once you are inside you realize the scale. There are a lot of collections. "Night of the Museums" opened for me a new museum world. Thank!

This is an interesting and beautiful place, a large area is complemented by old buildings and a monument to Pushkin, as well as a beautiful park. This place hosts many interesting events. One of them was dedicated to the day of family, love and fidelity.

Once again I visited the library. Again I can say - the best library! Thanks to the librarians for the excellent service!
