The Sword of Victory took its place in the Novorossiysk Historical Museum. It was solemnly transferred by the administration of the municipal formation of the city of Novorossiysk to the museum for storage, where thousands of New Russians and guests of the hero city can see it. The product is 1 meter 20 centimeters long and weighs more than five kilograms. The portraits of the great Russian military leaders - Stalin, Zhukov, Kutuzov, Ushakov, Suvorov, Peter I, Yuri Dolgoruky and Alexander Nevsky, are skillfully engraved on the all-metal sheath of the sword. Representing a sample of the author’s art-decorated, long-blade weapon, the sword is covered with 999.9 gold. Inlaid with semiprecious Ural stones: pomegranate, symbolizing spilled blood, and blue topaz - a symbol of peace, gives the product a special grandeur and significance. The blade of the product is made of high alloy Zlatoust steel, characterized by high hardness and elasticity. It is decorated with floral ornaments and the inscription “to the hero city of Novorossiysk”, and on the other side of the blade the famous quote by Alexander Nevsky is carved: “Whoever comes to us with a sword will die by the sword.” Recall that the sword was donated to Novorossiysk under the federal project “Sword of Victory”, which was implemented on the initiative of Denis Ryzhiy, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Zlatoust weapons company. Continuing the traditions of weapons craft, world-famous masters from the southern Urals city of Zlatoust manually made exclusive blades specially for the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and donated them to each of the 9 Russian hero cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg (Leningrad) , Volgograd (Stalingrad), Novorossiysk, Tula, Murmansk, Smolensk, Sevastopol, Kerch). In the Southern Urals, for each city awarded the title "Hero City", a personalized sword was made dedicated to Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Each of the nine swords is a symbol of military prowess, an unbending spirit, recognition of heroism and courage of participants in those military events. Swords were solemnly awarded to all hero cities on the eve of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Not a big, but very beautiful museum. In it, special attention should be paid to the exhibition "Golden Pantry". This is the most interesting part of the museum. Log in there only with excursion service. It can be ordered not only for the group, but also personally. Better yet, a full tour of the entire museum. It costs money, but you can learn a lot about the history of Novorossiysk and see the most unique exhibits.

A very interesting place. We walked like bewitched, the compositions of the exhibitions themselves look organically, for a while you fall into this world and lose the feeling of reality. Feel that you find somewhere in the wild.

In addition to traditional expositions for such museums, Novorossiysk has a magnificent collection of ship and ship anchors, almost all periods of navigation on the Black Sea and Ponte Avksinsky and later Evksinsky. So the ancient Ionians and Aeolians called the Black Sea, whose name in modern usage is a translation from the Turkish "Kara Deniz". On the Ponte, the strong wooden vessels of the ancient Greeks went to the coast during the summer period. These were penticors, then birems and triremes, sometimes losing their anchors due to the ferocity and unbridled nature of Pontus. You will see the anchors of the warships of the Ottoman Empire, reigned supreme in the waters of Kara Deniz. Russian ships, mostly based in Sevastopol, also left their marks on the seabed. A survey of the seabed near Sinop could provide interesting exhibits in this collection. The fact is that the Russian warships used here for the first time in the world bombardment artillery, laying several Ottoman menacing and high-speed ships on the seabed. The museum is constantly updated with new and new unique exhibits thanks to the efforts of its staff and enthusiasts.
