Church of Elijah the Prophet, tract Ilyinsky (Balakhna), Kotelnichsky district The village of Ilyinsky (Balakhna) now does not exist. The penultimate photograph shows the supports of the former bridge over the Bolshoy Matyug River, the last photograph shows a photograph from the memorial cross at the site of the village of Kuzyakiny. The parish was opened in 1860 and was formed from the villages of Kruglyzhskoye, Atsvezh, Yekaterininsky. First a prayer house was built. In 1861, the first wooden church was erected in the name of the Holy Prophet Elijah. The wooden church existed until 1887, and then was transported to the village of Borovka. Warm stone church was built in 1887. From 1887 to 1909, an extension of the cold temple was made to it, which was consecrated on November 9, 1909 in the name of the Holy Prophet Elijah.
