Tserkov' Preobrazheniya Gospodnya

The Church of the Transfiguration of Our Savior was built in 1815 by the care of S. F. Aladyin and parishioners. There were thrones in the church: the Transfiguration of the Savior, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, Nicholas the Wonderworker. It belongs to the Kostroma and Galich diocese to the eighth deanery district (parishes of the Kadyi, Nei, Ostrovsky, Sudislavsky districts). The main volume of the temple is a two-colored quadruple with five-domed completion. The four-tier bell tower is connected to the main volume by a wide refectory. Aisles in the refectory of the Nativity of the Virgin and Nicholas the Wonderworker. In Soviet times it was closed, abandoned, the refectory was partially dismantled. Now inactive.

Very atmospheric place. I pass by twice a year and all the time I stop to drink tea in this place. Walk to the temple. I pray and go.

The temple was abandoned in Soviet times. Today the church is in a sorry state.On the temple, excavations are being carried out on the site of the former village of Spas-Pien.
