Tserkov' Pokrova Presvyatoy Bogoroditsy

The brick church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Shchipachevo in the style of classicism with the same bell tower, was built in 1822 by the efforts of Major Vasily Ashitkov and parishioners. The main volume of the temple is cross-shaped with a rotunda above the center of the building. Side aisles of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and John the Warrior (right) and Three Great Saints (left), in the refectory aisles of Elijah the Prophet (right) and St. George the Victorious (left). To date, the refectory of the temple has been destroyed, the bell tower and the completion of the church have been lost. Abandoned.
