Love the place, reminds me of something out of a storybook

The huge Epiphany Cathedral has not lost its significance in modern Moscow. There is no longer a monastery as such, new buildings have appeared nearby, but it still rises among the surroundings, claiming central importance in Kitai-Gorod. Its powerful dome is perfectly visible from Zamoskvorechye. During the Great Patriotic War, the cathedral was almost lost: in the immediate vicinity of it, on the corner of Nikolskaya and Epiphany lanes, a German bomber fell. The buildings on this site were completely destroyed, and the cathedral itself lost its head with a drum - they were demolished by the plane during the fall. Since 1991, the process of the revival of the Epiphany Cathedral began. The monastic life was not restored, so the cathedral acts as a parish church.

Unusual temple. The architecture is very interesting. I advise even unbelievers to visit. Interesting and informative ... I advise everyone else to go definitely!
