Church of the Most Merciful of Fominsk

The Church of All-Merciful Savior (1712), was transported to the museum from the village of Fominsky, Kostroma district. Belongs to the widespread type of cage churches. It consists of four “stands” (parts, volumes): altar, foursome, refectory, porch (canopy). The interior of the church is a wonderful example of folk craftsmanship: the salt was made in the canon of the 17th century, benches with curly legs and a carved edge were cut along the walls; choirs decorated with geometric carvings are installed in front of the iconostasis at the northern and southern walls. Area - 106.5 square meters m Restored in the years 1971-1972. The author of the restoration project I.Sh. Shevelev.

The temple is beautiful, ancient and restored.
