The chapel stands on the shore of the monastery bay. Date of construction in 1896. The chapel is built of Valaam brick with columns of red and black granite on a gray granite basement. "Joy of All Who Sorrow" - the initial line of one of the Virgin Mary poems. The first icon with such a name was an image only known by reference in documents, written in 1683 by court painter I. Bezmin, who worked in the European style. This type of iconography was formed in Russia in the 17th century under the influence of Western Europe, the iconography of the "Joy of All Who Sorrow" did not receive a single complete compositional scheme, it exists in many options. In addition to the image of the Virgin, traditionally includes images of people overwhelmed with ailments and sorrows, and angels who perform blessings on behalf of the Mother of God. The Mother of God is depicted in stature, standing in radiance with the Infant Christ on his left hand. At the top in the clouds depicted the New Testament Trinity.
