Warm, cosy, and relaxing!

After reading the reviews, I expected the worst, but it looks like the rooms have improved a little, they look good. Wooden floor, not cold (standard room with 2 beds). There are barbecues on the territory, you can also rent bicycles or a boat. Of the minuses - there is no wifi and the network practically does not catch in the room, very high audibility (as if your neighbors are in the same room), yellow water.

Wi-Fi is not that free, there is no connection at all. We were accommodated by several families in one guest house, amenities are only on the ground floor, queue in the evening, queue in the morning. On the territory there are old broken buildings from the USSR, great for cinema, it's just scary to let the children go for a walk. Two stars only for the cafe and clean linen. It's good that we only spent the night, living in such conditions is not realistic, especially with children

Very interesting, I would say a legendary place. Since 1930, there has been a Finnish army training center for junior command personnel. Mannerheim personally came, they will tell about this on excursions on Mount Owl. Then our units were until the end of the 90s. Then they dropped everything. The 2 room suite is quite decent. There is a cafe for a pretty decent breakfast 🥣. Directly opposite the lake, you can rent a boat. I stopped for the night to go to the Owl Mountain in the morning. Recommend. I took off the score for the lack of heating, but it wasn't cold at night.

Tour "The Amazing World of Karelia" 8-9.08.2020 from the company Yakarelia. Never agree to live in the "Shchuchye Lake Hotel" in block rooms! A group of 20 people waited for the administrator to check in for 30 minutes! The tourists from the Yakarelia company did not even have their first and last names, they just wrote +2 or +4. We also had to wait for the past tourists to check out and clean the room, because, suddenly, they did not make sure that the room was not ready yet. Imagine that you really want to relax and unwind in your room, but you are accommodated with strangers, of course not in the same room, in different rooms, but with a shared bathroom. All your memories from the hostel immediately appear before your eyes. There is almost no hope that you will get a double room if booked. The walls in the rooms are made of cardboard, water was yellow and not allowed through, there are no soap accessories in the shower. The view from the hotel is a complete apocalypse, continuous abandoned barracks, and there is no question of any territory.
