Very cozy hostel in the historical center of Sortavala. Lots of clean and well thought out rooms. The most hospitable hostel host we have met on our travels. Sergey is the hostel's owner and the best breakfast chef (quite varied selection). Helped in organizing our trip. I recommend to everyone, and on our next visit we will definitely stay at this hostel!

An excellent hostel, Sergei is an incredibly hospitable host, keeps the place clean, maintains a warm atmosphere and prepares breakfast for guests himself. There is a quiet hour from midnight to 7 am, so if you are afraid of not getting enough sleep, then do not be afraid. Best impressions

This is not a hostel, but a real House. Cozy rooms, comfortable beds, good location. To the station at a calm pace of 15 minutes on foot, across the road is the embankment. It is in such a place that you want to relax after a busy day spent hiking and photo shooting. The owner of the hostel, Sergey, is an incredible person: sympathetic, kind, intelligent and pleasant conversationalist. Usually in hostels I spent my time like this: I came, locked myself in a room, buried my face in my phone and fell asleep. Lampo didn't want to do that. Sergey offered barbecue at the expense of the institution, told about places in Karelia that are worth visiting, but which are not very obvious for the first visit to this amazing land, and in the morning he prepared breakfast. Service has taken on a new meaning for me. Now in dry facts: the hostel has 2 toilets, 2 showers on the first floor (I don't remember if there is one on the second), a kitchen with groceries. There are not many rooms, respectively, the guests too, which is also a plus - there is no feeling of a hostel, with which other hostels sin. There is free Wi-Fi. If you are going to Karelia in the vicinity of Sortavala and Ruskeala, be sure to stop at Lampo, and he will take your heart.
