This old church was built in 1684 on a Russian Orthodox church style with five domes. It's also call Church of the Epiphany or Bogoyavlenskaya church.

A very interesting church and in a location that combines both busy and quiet roads. Unfortunately, the church is in an extremely neglected state. Cracks are visible on the façade and the building itself has begun to be mowed in several places.

The Church of the Epiphany was built in 1684-1693. The pillarless five-domed church, without basement, is covered by a vault. The drums with heads stand on large decorative kokoshniks. The chapel of the Vologda saint Dmitry Prilutsky adjoins the church from the south, from the north - the chapel in memory of the Last Judgment of Christ. The interior of the main cube is illuminated by nine tall windows. After the fire of 1753, the old wooden chapters crowning the graceful drums were replaced by new, bizarre baroque shapes. In the 1950s, the heads of the church and its tiled decor were restored according to the project of V.N. Zakharova.

Inside you can go and read the Holy Scripture, which lies at the entrance. Flowers bloom around in the summer. It's nice to just walk around the Church itself, to study its architecture. In the outdoor decor of the temple the main place is occupied by multicolor glazed tiles. From the tiles made wide ribbon-shaped friezes on the drums of the chapters, on the central temple, on top of the apse and aisles, on the porch. The vertical ribbons from the tiles, placed at the corner, are decorated with shovels, drums and platbands of gallery windows. Variations of five patterns of ornament and five colors in color give an infinite variety of tiled decor. All this makes the Church of the Epiphany an outstanding monument of Russian art ceramics of the 17th century.
