The Church in the name of the Ascension of the Lord was built in 1682 at the expense of the parishioners on the site of a wooden church in 1659 taken down in 1677. The stone four-pillar five-domed Church of the Ascension is made in the spirit of the Yaroslavl architectural school. The temple was painted in 1688 by Yaroslavl masters. In 1929 the temple was closed. In the 1930s, transferred to the tram control, partially destroyed. In 2005, it was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church. In 2009, the temple was restored - restored chapters, basement, window openings.

Disappointment. Outside there is a beautiful temple, but inside everything is very neglected. I wanted to make a couple of shots on the phone and just on a film soap dish. As a result, they said that any shooting is PAID. She asked why this is not a museum, but a functioning temple. They answered that they need the BLESSING OF THE FATHER AND IT IS PAID !!! Just think about it! If the guys want to be paid, then let them keep the walls inside the church in good condition, and not just the bare walls and icons on them. It's ridiculous!

Each time I pass by, I want to stop and capture this church, in different weather it is different in different ways, and even the city center is the busiest place, maybe the locals do not all pay attention to the beauty of this place)
