I didn’t like the fact that the church worker, or rather the cleaning lady, pounced on us, saying that we were walking. Although earlier we asked if we could go through with another employee (working in the shop). It was crazy to hear all this in the church. As far as I did, I tried to stop her. Reminding her where we all are. Alas, a person everywhere remains a person ((.

Намоленное место. Храм действующий. Чтимая икона- икона Феодоровской Божьей матери

An old cozy temple. It's a pity I didn't have a chance to attend the service. Beautiful painting, ancient icons. The icon of the Theotokos Feodorovskaya is especially impressive.

The Church of Our Lady of Fedorov was built on the shore of Kotorosli in 1687. The story of the construction of the temple has been preserved: it tells that the locals chose the Ascension Church as a model, carried out measurements themselves and began construction. Professional architects were invited later: they covered the temple with the first four-pitched roof in Yaroslavl, which further enhanced the expressive silhouette of large chapters on high drums. In fact, the height of the drums (with crosses) is 22 m. Against just a 14-meter four! The final appearance of the temple took shape in the 18th century: in 1715, the Ignatiev-Fedorov artel painted the interior with frescoes, in 1736 there were galleries with a high porch on the pillars, and even later - the southern aisle. In Soviet times, the Fedorov Church received the status of a cathedral instead of the destroyed Assumption. Now here is the residence of the Metropolitan of Rostov and Yaroslavl, as well as a small necropolis of church hierarchs. The residence also includes the modest one-domed church of St. Nicholas on Peña, erected together with a slender tented bell tower in 1691.
