I don't need it, I go there to get a certain range of services, and not to take a walk. If they tell me that there is a problem in the bike that I did not notice, I say thank you and ask to fix it, and not hysteria about imposing additional services. I am not going to save on myself, on my riding pleasure, on my health and life, directly related to the serviceability of the bike. In total, there is a person working there who, for several years now, has an understanding of how what should work in a complex of interacting mechanisms called a bicycle. Plus straight arms growing from the shoulders interacting with the head. Plus professional bike maintenance equipment. Plus a decade and a half of work experience. This is enough for me as a client. Yes, it costs money. But it's worth it. And the fact that the bike mechanic does not like to listen to abstract conversations with non-specific questions, and even more so does not like it when they require specific answers - speaks only in his favor.
