If you ask a resident of Orenburg where Pushkin Boulevard is located, not everyone will be able to answer this question. The embankment of the Ural River is much more known to the citizens under the name Belovka. This place name for many years, it was formed from the names of the enterprising merchant Belov, who did a lot for the arrangement of the Orenburg embankment. They had broken flower beds, built trade pavilions and a restaurant. The dominant feature of the embankment is the monument to Valery Chkalov, installed in 1953 on a high pedestal, where Sovetskaya Street adjoins Belovka. Behind the monument is a viewing platform with a view of the Ural River. The architectural ensemble of Belovka is formed by buildings of the eighteenth - nineteenth centuries. To the left of the monument, facing the main facade of the river is a building that served as the residence of military governors of the region. In the distance you can see the museum of the history of Orenburg, like a small Gothic castle. At the old descent to the Urals installed reconstructed Elizabethan Gate. There is also a cable car station "From Europe to Asia", laid across the Ural River
