Holy Trinity Cathedral - the main Orthodox church of Zlatoust in 1842-1928, was the largest in the Ufa province, was designed for 3,000 people. The laying of the cathedral took place in May 1835, the construction of the building lasted 5 years, another 2 years the interior of the cathedral was carried out. The construction was carried out on the voluntary donations of city residents and treasury funds. The iconostasis for the cathedral was made by the artist of the Imperial Academy of Arts A.K. Malakhov. The consecration of the temple took place on June 6, 1842, it was performed by the Bishop of Orenburg and Ufa Ioannikiy (Samples). In 1843-48, a five-tier bell tower 72.5 m high was built near the cathedral.
Holy Trinity Cathedral was a five-domed church with two chapels: the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin and in the name of the Right Prince Alexander Nevsky. The height of the temple was 51.2 m, length 44.8 m, width 29 m, the area of the inner space for worshipers was 910 square meters. m and was paved with cast-iron plates. On three sides (excluding the altar) the building was surrounded by colonnades of six columns in each 11 m high.
January 28, 1928 the cathedral was closed, the building was transferred to the museum of local lore. In 1932 the bell tower was demolished. In the summer of 1933, work began on the liquidation of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which was completed by November.
