It was located in the lower factory part of the city and was on the site of the modern Metallurg recreation center. November 8, 1875 the church was consecrated. There are three thrones in it: in the main altar - in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul, on the south side - in the name of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara, and on the north - in the name of the holy Wives of the Myrrh Bearing. The southern throne was consecrated on July 1, 1904, and the northern - on June 22, 1908. “Until October 26, 1881, the church was assigned to the Zlatoust Holy Trinity Cathedral, and according to the decree No. 5447, the Ufa Spiritual Consistory of October 26, 1881 was approved as independent.” In 1908, the clergy of the church consisted of a priest and one psalmist, and in 1914-1916. the clergy was expanded and consisted of 2 priests, a deacon and 2 psalm-goers. The clergy did not receive a salary from the treasury. The priests received income for the fulfillment of the requirement, part of the money from the church circle, as well as in the church there was a capital of 350 rubles, laid on the contribution of the commemoration, from which clergy used annual percent. In the parish of the Peter and Paul Church there were 4 chapels: on Mount Tatarka; in Zamenka; Trinity chapel in the form of a stone pillar, built by parishioners in 1892 in memory of getting rid of cholera; The Mironositskaya chapel on Mount Kosotur, built in 1905. There were also 2 schools in the parish: a municipality school, opened in 1889, and a one-class women's church parish, opened on September 16, 1901, which was transformed on August 15, 1904 into two-year school. This school was located in Zakamenka and was located in a stone house, which was built at the expense of the Zlatoust merchant Georgy Prolubnikov. School desks and departments for the school were donated to him. 2500 rubles were allocated for the maintenance of this school from the treasury of the Holy Synod. And from the Zlatoust district department of the Ufa diocesan school council - 200 rubles. In 1916, 559 girls attended school. The church had a library of books from the church circle. Parishioners of the Petro-Pavlovsk Church were artisans of the Lower Plant with their families, and later workers of the Yermolovskaya blast furnace, the future Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant. In 1886 there were 487 houses in the parish, in which 1206 men and 1269 women lived, and in 1916, 840 houses, in which 2151 men and 2163 women lived. On April 25, 1940, the Chelyabinsk regional council, by decision No. 14, approved the decision of the executive committee of the Zlatoust City Council, and on August 2, 1940, decision No. 2 of the executive committee of the Zlatoust City Council “on the liquidation of the building of the former Petro-Pavlovsky Church” was adopted.
