Memorial of Glory, located on Taganayskaya Street in Zlatoust, is dedicated to the memory of all residents of the city who died in the battles of the Great Patriotic War. The ceremony of its solemn opening took place in September 1979. The memorial was created by a team of sculptors consisting of BA Maganov, AP Sulenev and architect Yuri Kazakov. The memorial is a complex architectural structure, in the center of which are three tall pylons that narrow at the top. At the bottom are three figures, symbolizing the infantryman, pilot and tankman. On the platform between the pylons - a bronze laurel wreath with a diameter of 3 meters, inside burns the Eternal Flame. The height of each pylon is 13 meters, and the sculptures of soldiers rise to 5 meters. In the lower part of the memorial complex there is a memorial hall, one of the walls of which is faced with granite slabs with a relief image of the Order of the Patriotic War and lowered banners. There is also a memorial inscription about more than eight thousand inhabitants of the city who fell victims of the struggle against fascism. Then follows the poetic lines written by the local poet A. Pavlov, and on the eastern side of the Memorial there are bas-reliefs with portraits of Heroes of the Soviet Union.
