A very beautiful monastery, it combines modernity and history. We were in the old church at the service, austere interior, wonderful voices of the choir, wonderful vigil. On the territory of the monastery there is a cafe with simple but hearty food. There is also a hotel where you can stay overnight.

Perfect place. I recommend everyone to go there. One thing is bad, the road there is bad and even a little mystical. You can smash cars. We rode on a big bus with a professional driver, making a detour along a less decent road, we got lost anyway ... This monastery stands in a place far from settlements.

On the banks of the narrow winding river Solba, on the highway connecting the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, the reserved Pereslavl-Zalessky and ancient Uglich, the Nikolo-Solbinsky convent is located among dense forests. The monastery has existed for over five centuries. Initially, the monastery was for men, but in 1903 it was transformed into a monastery. By 1914, it had 115 sisters. On December 3, 1918, the monastery was one of the first to be closed in the country. In different years there was a commune "New Life", an orphanage, and everything ended up in a psychiatric hospital. When in 1994 the torn and desecrated shrine was returned to the Church, its revival seemed impossible. In January 1999, the Mother Superior Abbess Erotiida arrived here with three sisters. The hard work began to restore the monastery. The Divine Liturgy is celebrated every day in the monastery, intense prayers are said for the benefactors of the monastery and for all Orthodox Christians.
