An undeservedly neglected museum! It seems to me that this museum is a must-see and it is even better to do it before going to the Rostov Kremlin! There are only 4 halls, but they are very atmospheric, they completely immerse in the interior of those historical eras, about which the wonderful guide Marina talks with such liveliness, interest, humor that it is impossible not to fall in love with the city of Rostov, be enchanted by its history, legends and leave the museum with a smile on the lips) The excursion lasts 1 hour, the cost is 1000 rubles up to 5 people. There were only two of us, but the guide put his whole soul into his story, answered all our questions, that the tour lasted for 2 hours, which flew by unnoticed! Hall 1 - you will find yourself on the shores of Lake Nero, sit by the fire in a dugout, take a picture in a boat and with a beautiful Merianka) here we will talk about the settlers Meryan, then the Slavs and the history of the origin of Lake Nero Hall 2 - you will be invited to a peasant hut with a stove and all the necessary attributes. A very interesting story about baking children, there is an interactive to climb into the stove and be on the wards)) Hall 3 - sit at the table of the inn, listen to the goodies of Rostov and interesting ways to raise your social status with the help of tea and sugar)) Hall 4 - you will find yourself at the fair and find out why they say "get to the pen", "freeze", "check" and much more) In general, go and do not regret it!)))

I was pleasantly surprised by visiting this museum. Here you will be told the history of the city of Rostov from its origins to the present. It is very convenient that the halls of this place embody individual eras. Outside, the museum is not at all remarkable. But inside it is very atmospheric! The tour is held with an audio guide (despite this, the museum staff willingly and with great attention give answers to all questions). Here you will find out what a woman’s kut is? What is the favorite dish for all classes served in the Rostov tavern? What event took place in Rostov (and in almost every city in Russia) and allowed to feed the whole city for literally a whole year? And of course, the opportunity to take pictures in hats could not leave indifferent 😉

Very interesting, especially for children (ages 6-7). The tour is about an hour. Several thematic rooms. In general - captivates, immerses in the atmosphere.

An interesting museum, where you can see the life of the inhabitants of Rostov. Wonderful, good-natured workers of the museum. Most of the exhibits can be touched. If there is time you can visit, this museum.

Very interesting exposition. Learned the history of the region. The guide told fascinatingly, even went beyond the allotted time. We learned the origin of such words and expressions as: "for free", a bastard, a check, to trade from under the floor. The price tag is very, very democratic, very pleased - 150 r from an adult with a guide. The audio guide was not taken. The tour will be interesting for both adults and children.
