​ This is not just amazing old-style church from spiritual point of view but building which was built in 1763 so it has huge historical value. It contains library and school operating at the weekends. All priests are very well qualified and extremely friendly.

A place to repent and pray. The oldest Astrakhan church, a witness and keeper of events in our city. A noteworthy fact: in 1919, the White Guards installed a machine gun on the bell tower and the Red Army soldier knocked it down together with the bell tower. Then it was restored.

The Temple of John Chrysostom is very dear to the family. Here older children were married. Grandchildren were baptized. My husband and I went to the service. This temple is like a native home. All adversities recede. It was not scolded under the Soviet regime. It also means a lot. Father Abbot is a wonderful mentor. He understands everything. He is a spiritually rich person.

This temple is a historical, and architectural monument of the city. It can also be seen in the famous film "Can't be."
