An ancient mosque functioning, all the obligatory rituals of worship of the Almighty are held. It was built by Gabdulla Abdullsalamovich Utyamyshev in 1802, in honor of those who died in the battle in defense of Kazan from the troops of Ivan the Terrible. According to legend, after the capture of Kazan, the soldiers of Moslems who served with Ivan the Terrible, appealed to the king with a request for burial of the fallen defenders in accordance with Muslim traditions. At the burial place, a large stone was placed on the boulder and a small wooden mosque was built. After 250 years, when the new mosque was built, this stone was found and the mosque was named Iske-Tash (Starokamennaya)
