Fascinating place.

Qasr Al-Farid, the largest cemetery at the Mada'in Saleh archaeological site, stands tall among the rolling sands It is known as the city of the people of Thamud, to whom God Almighty sent a righteous Prophet, peace be upon him, then perished with divine punishment as stated in the Holy Quran. Historically called Hajar, it was inhabited by the Thamud people since the third millennium BC Several civilizations took place in the region, most notably the "Nabateans", as Mada'in Saleh is one of the most important cities in the region after their capital, Petra. These cities contain more than 130 burials, which were built between the first year BC until the year 75 AD With the Romans storming the stone, the Nabataeans dispersed and their civilization ended, but their precise artistic sculptures remained a witness to their era.
