During the war of khaybar, the fort of khaybar was conquered by Prophet Muhammed s a.w, his brother Ali Murtaza a.s (called the lion of Allah- Sher e Khuda), who broke the great door of khaybar (which was known to be handled by 40 men) & the companions of prophet s.a.w. The mosque is situated nearby the fort.
