A university library located at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. It was established in the year 1388 AH by unifying the two libraries of Sharia and Education colleges into one library. In 1391 AH, the two colleges (the College of Education and Sharia) and the university library attached to them were annexed to King Abdul Aziz University, until a new building was built for the University Library in 1394 AH, consisting of three floors, at the university’s headquarters in the Aziziyah district in Makkah. The headquarters of the library was built in the university city of Al-Abdiyyah in 1424 AH, and it was inaugurated in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region in the year 1425 AH, and it was named King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Library.
It is considered a distinguished scientific edifice and is rich in modern and rare scientific books and Islamic manuscripts and an important reference for researchers and students. A pride of Umm Al-Qura University
