During his assumption of the emirate, he focused on developing the region and developing the economic movement in it, and encouraged investors to take advantage of its agricultural nature and establish farms, and the region achieved many developmental, economic and social achievements during a period of [ 1]. He remained Emir of Tabuk until 15 Jumada al-Awwal 1406 AH [1] corresponding to January 26, 1986, when a royal decree was issued appointing him as governor of the Medina region [1]. During the period of his leadership, the implementation of the King Fahd project to expand the Prophet’s Mosque and the development of the central area surrounding it began and he supervised The implementation process is straightforward [1]. He also encouraged the establishment of huge institutions for real estate and agricultural investment, and headed the largest institution for that, which is the Taiba Investment Company, and the city became a center of attraction for investors. He continued to assume the emirate of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region until Shaban 16, 1420 AH [1] corresponding to November 25, 1999, when he was appointed governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region [1], and during his assumption of the emirate he adopted a committee project to develop emergency services in the Makkah region in order to perform distinguished service in this field He also adopted the idea of ​​establishing the first project to take care of the elderly and the elderly in Jeddah [1]. His death was announced on Saturday 18 Rabi` al-Akhir 1428 AH corresponding to May 5, 2007 [1] due to leukemia (leukemia). And the funeral prayer for him on Monday 20 Rabi` al-Akher 1428 AH corresponding to May 7, 2007 in the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque, then he was buried in the Oud cemetery.
