A village originated more than 120 years ago at the hands of the late Saleh bin Ali bin Rada al-Maliki, nicknamed Saleh al-Harbi, and this name was established at the hands of his late son, Ali bin Saleh bin Ali al-Maliki, nicknamed al-Ghafoori.
