Al Masaa Cafe

Let me tell you the story, how staff make sure that an establishment lose the customer. So, I was at Al Masaa cafe on last weekend, I’ve been a regular customer to this brand & visited this branch first time after renovation. As expected there was a waiting for outdoor area but I was surprised with host reaction when she shrugged her shoulders in response when I asked approx. How much time will it take. But that doesn’t bother me much & I waited. After, about 15 mins, we got the seat. Then real ordeal & embarrassment started. I was literally calling people & manager if anyone can come & take our order. After contacting 3 person, one staff came to take order. I’ve placed the order for couple of items & a pizza. I request him that pizza should be thin crust (as much as possible). To my surprise, staff (English speaking) didn’t understand the meaning of thing crust. After I repeated 5-6 times, I wrote it on a piece of paper. He still don’t understand. Then I asked him to tell this to chef & he’ll understand, he rudely said, our chef (he mentioned nationality) doesn’t understand English. I requested him again that, it’s ok but just tell him. After 5 mins the order taker returned mentioning “he don’t know about it, I told you he doesn’t understand English”. It was quite embarrassing, specially I was with my family. Ultimately, I decided to stop accepting such embarrassing treatment from the staff & left the table. To no surprise, no one even noticed. But, thanks for opening our eyes about the place. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN

My friend was pretty hungry so he ordered the chicken soup and a pasta. I ordered waffles and we both shared pot of Moroccan tea. I took a sip from my friend's soup and it was very tasty. I didn't like my waffles as much, which to be fair was presented beautifully with fruits and 3 different syrups (chocolate, caramel, maple), but I expected it to be warmer and crunchier. The tea was good but nothing extraordinary. Place is very spacious with outdoor seating as well and has a nice relaxing vibe. Prices are higher than most café's so make sure your wallet is loaded!

They should work on their interiors and furniture.. otherwise food is good
