The best trail for hiking.

Spectacular crater in the middle of nowhere. It's possible to hike down to the bottom. The path starts all the way to the left - there is a white spot at the side of the highest peak on the left side of the crater, it's a construction of a small building. It takes about 20-25 minutes to walk there from the parking lot along the crater rim with great views. Once you get to the construction site, you see a clear path going down, lined with rocks. Most of the path is well maintained. It's rocky so proper hiking shoes are necessary. Takes about 20 easy minutes going all the way down and maybe 40 minutes going back up. No shade on the way, so bring plenty of water and avoid midday heat.

Great place to go and visit it's worth the hike to the ground zero and to the lava field

Its beautiful place to visit with different theories. Recomended for over night camping. 1.5km dia, around 7 hour drive from Riyadh and 2.30 hour drive from Taif. Sunset/sunrise is breathtaking. If you like stargazing then you will be in love with this place.
