Massimo was my savior when I was stucked at 9pm in Ahuachapan! For a fee (15$) he picked me up at this late hour and told me already a lot about the area during this drive. In his house I immediately felt home in the Serie A room. Everything was clean and cozy and I really enjoyed my 2-nights-stay (15$), especially the Italian cuisine at Massimo's restaurant around the corner!

Very nice and helpful host and clean beds. But a stench when you enter the building, incommodious beds and a slight mouldy bathroom

Me and my girlfriend Karin stayed here for 2 nights and it was great. It felt like staying at home and we felt so welcomed by Massimo and his family! If you have the chance to stay here you definitely should! It's an amazing treat to see the huge toy collection Massimo has at his museum! When you are there, try to challenge his son to some Super Smash Brothers, it will be a challenge :D Thanks for having us!

Massimo and his family were so welcoming to me during my stay in Apaneca, which became my favorite town in la Ruta de las Flores in large part to his hospitality. Massimo showed me where the best pupusas were, gave me a short historical tour of Apaneca, and even drove me to the beach one day with him, his son, and two other guests. And he made us a pasta dinner one night! His home is cozy and clean and great for backpackers.

Very nice place to stay in Apaneca, Massimo and his family is amazing, definitely recommend 👌🏻
