We as tourism have recognized this mountainous massif as "Guazapa volcano", although it is not like the other volcanoes we have in El Salvador. I can observe two details in the visits I have made on the ascent to two of its hills or peaks: On the hill known as El Chino in the jurisdiction of San Jose Guayabal and on the limits of the department of Cuscatlán, I found a source at 1,100 meters above sea level. , something that does not occur in the other Volcanoes. Likewise, in the El Salitre area on the border between San José Guayabal and Suchitoto on the El Sartén hill, others call it Cerro La Flor or El Quemado, I have found free soil that I have only seen in the Zapotitán valley, which is of the primary volcanic soils arising from the weathering of the Mother Rock, also observing the rock in the process of weathering. In other words, we have the best soil on a rocky slope there.
